Eric Rescorla, on a roll:
Steve Burnett is giving an intro to crypto talk in which he explains that
"cryptography is about turning sensitive data into gibberish in such a
way that you can get the sensitive data back from the gibberish".
My observation: "This differs from standardization, where you can't get
the sensitive data back from the gibberish."

You ought to consider issuing a revised edition of Stan Kelly-Bootles The Devils DP Dictionary which was formulated along the lines of the original Devils Dictionary by Ambrose Bierce.
