ACLU: U.S. Terror List Now Exceeds 900,000 Names. The ACLU Watch List Counter is a page illustrating the idiocy that is the FBI "Terrorist Screening Center", in which 1 in 300 people, that's nearly 1/3 of the number of people the U.S. currently incarcerates, and most of them are in 'cause of the misguided "war on (some people who use) drugs".
Seems like the assorted authorities are not making a good case that the threats to our liberties and freedoms are external...

By a number of different measures, America leads the entire world in incarceration rates. I think this sums up part of America's misguided priorities in a microcosm. The "war on terror" undoubtedly costs more than the $12B/month burn rate in Iraq.
I'd posit that spending just one month of the budget on Iraq would provide all of the necessary funds to do all of the basic research required to produce affordable electric vehicles for the American masses. Calculate that, Dick and George.
This is NOT the America I grew up in.
