Linking in with my own observations and biases, modern neuroscience has reason to believe that we generally come to decisions, and then think about ways to justify them. I heartily approve of this observation as I see just that behavior in those around me. But I also see it in myself as well. World view determines responses more than does reasoned thought. Not a happy admission.
