Two of my sites went dark for the day, letters went to my congressman, who's not stated a postion, and both senators, both co-sponsors of PIPA. I was amazed at the number of people who kept wanting to know "wtf is wrong with Wikipedia."

My C_weasel's office bot denied he ever supported SOPA. Denied that he said that SOPA was necessary to "protect the children." Denied he said it would protect US jobs, intellectual property and competitiveness. Claimed that he has yet to make up his mind. Claimed not to know that 800 unique IP addresses at the House were identified to have downloaded copyrighted material.

What else can I expect from a Teabagger?

The day after the protest, the DOJ takes down Megaupload.

Hours later, Anonymous takes down the DOJ, the MPAA, RIAA, and Universal Music sites.

This is why we can't have anything nice. Scientist and Engineers build things of wondrous marvel and Lawyers and marketing weasels frak the whole business up. I am truly stunned that such a gross overreach could become law. And whats with the cute names SOPA & PIPA??? they sounds like some starlets purse dogs.

"Those who count on quote 'Hollywood' for support need to understand that this industry is watching very carefully who's going to stand up for them when their job is at stake. Don't ask me to write a check for you when you think your job is at risk and then don't pay any attention to me when my job is at stake."

-- Chris Dodd, ex-Senator and MPAA head, regarding SOPA and PIPA
