Flutterby™! : Those who do not remember the past

A few historical things have struck me hard recently:

• Remember when Madonna's photo book "Sex" was a big deal?
• Remember when Ellen coming out was a big deal, and now Ellen and J.C. Penney laying the smackdown on a small fringe group that calls itself "Million Moms" is something we're aware of only because we run in "those circles"?

In that vein, I wanted to make note of an Ask MeFi question looking for "Anthologies about Abortion and Homosexuality?" in order to better get a handle on historical context, because it's important to remember how far we've come.
