Petaluma Politics

Petaluma Tomorrow, a local clean government advocacy group, has reported itself and paid the fine for violations of a campaign ordinance that it helped get enacted.

Well done, Petaluma Tomorrow.

This last city council campaign was interesting. Sometimes I wish we had the money for candidates to collect better data at the local campaign level. We had a weird situation where one organization settled a lawsuit with a developer, the settlement involved contributions to several other organizations. One of those other organizations turned down the contribution, and I suspect that a few of the other ones didn't was bad for a few candidates.
