Successive generations getting better

A little friendly advice, ogr2ogr every shapefile, had this observation:

ogr2ogr this is the opposite of photocopy degradation ;)

Presumably because shapefiles are the sort of extreme environment that causes fast evolution for the geographic data that survives each generation.
