Interestng: Karma WiFi Hotspot, from $99 with a gigabyte included, $279 with 20 gigabytes, $14 for additional gigabytes. Uses the Clearwire (Sprint?) 4G network, and a cursory look doesn't show coverage anywhere I'd want to use it, but what's really fascinating is...

According to Popular Science: Karma Review: Finally, A Wi-Fi Hotspot That Isn't Trying To Screw You, if someone else is in range they can connect, they're asked to log in using Facebook (without posting privileges), and they get 100MB free and you get an additional 100MB free. So whatever demographic data they're grabbing from your Facebook login is worth $2.80 to them...
