Bicyclist dies after crashing into car door

The town of Durham recently finished reconfiguring traffic on Main Street, making it one-way, adding parking and -- in theory -- making it safer for pedestrians, motorists and cyclists.

As the Facebook entry I grabbed this from said: "they even used the magic green paint!". If you restripe lanes to force bicylists into the door zone, or even paint sharrows on the right side of the lane, you're increasing the risk to cyclists.
