prevalence of autism diagnoses

Ages ago, Charlene and I saw some breathless thing about autism rates, went tracking down those rates vs overall disability rates, saw that the overall rate wasn't changing nearly as much as the autism rate changes would suggest, and chalked it up to changes in diagnosis.

Every once in a while I see yet another confirmation of that conclusion, although it's interesting that this one says "the majority".

Forbes: Majority Of Autism Increase Due To Diagnostic Changes, Finds New Study, the study is JAMA Pediatrics: Explaining the Increase in the Prevalence of Autism Spectrum Disorders: The Proportion Attributable to Changes in Reporting Practices.
