I have mostly tried to stay quiet on the matter of Shanley. I think she's a troll. In the most recent dust-up I very much had the feeling that defending Shanley from weev was like defending weev from the U.S. Attorney, something we had to do as a matter of principle, but...

Anyway, I've been trying to make a huge effort to not engage trolls, to filter that part of the culture out of my life, because it doesn't generally need to be taking any more of our bandwidth. But I think Ms. Greenhall is worth listening to on her own merits, and because she eloquently says everything I could want to say on this matter.
