If you want to know why the Middle East hates us, these people are our allies: http://www.independent.co.uk/n...-the-death-penalty-10077877.html

Been thinking about that. Decided I think maybe not so much. Unless it is because you think we made them soft.

Seems like the people who hate us enough to wage asynchronous warfare against us agree with what the Saudis are doing in this case. Hell, they would probably have just taken him out and the desert and removed his head. Then uploaded a video of it.

Yes, this is the kind of crap Sharia law gives us in the hands of assholes with 15th century outlooks. But there are a bunch more out there with 11th century outlooks who want to kick out the plutocrats and replace them with themselves.

I'm sure there are also plenty of liberal Muslims, even in Saudi Arabia, I mean look at the guy in question. But they aren't the ones picking up guns and strapping on explosives. Or the ones saying how much they hate us.

My theory is that there's no differentiation between our allies and any of the other evil forces in the area. And if the decision is between an evil despotic group hoarding the resources, or one that might distribute some of them, your average person's gonna choose the lesser of those evils.
