The headline is perhaps a little inflammatory: The EPA Opposes Rules That Couldve Exposed VWs Cheating, but it's not wrong. If we mandated open source ECU code, there's a chance we could have found this stuff. Instead we DMCA hide it, making it easier for miscreants and ne'er do wells to conceal misdeeds.
