A good look at the failures of architecture vs engineering in the design of the Nipigon River Bridge that recently failed, cutting the Trans-Canada Highway http://wawa-news.com/2016/02/0...sterpiece-engineering-nightmare/

Also worth thinking about in light of how monuments to political ego like the eastern span of the San Francisco Bay Bridge are blowing way past any reasonable budget because the design is impossible to implement.
