Via Medley, an incomplete article about a ruling against data aggregators. This ruling was about a site that collected info from various auction sites, but it doesn't take a heck of an imagination to extrapolate to question the legality of search engines and, from a comment by one of the lawyers, even browsers other than that for which the site was designed...
