Kind of amazing how a 80night hotel

Kind of amazing how a $80/night hotel offers an included breakfast (with fresh waffles) and working WiFi, and a $180/night hotel has a Starbucks in the lobby and charges an extra $10/night for crappy WiFi.

Not when you understand the clientele. The $180/might hotel is catering mainly to the business class, where they're spending Other People's Money(TM).

I think there are companies that go into hotels and make deals to install internet for free in exchange for the hotels' charging for access on their behalf; that they made those deals many years ago, when ubiquitous internet was in its infancy, and the hotels saw no good reason to discontinue it.
