The headline says Toronto Eaton Center owner found guilty of hiding facial recognition cameras in kiosks, but there's no mention of which laws they allegedly broke, or what punishment was imposed.

There's a lot of pearl clutching here, but it's not clear to me that this isn't in about the same part of the spectrum as the USPS mailing kiosks collecting your images.
