Former Louisville detective who helped incarcerate innocent men agrees
to plead guilty, go to prison
Handy had previously agreed to a plea deal on a charge of felony perjury
related to a 1995 case that put Edwin Chandler in prison nearly a decade for a
murder he didn't commit. But the tampering with physical evidence charge in another case
had been dismissed.
So his lies took a combined 52 years of freedom from his victims, and he gets a year.
Seems... uh...
