I love these ESI Extra10 headphones

I love these ESI Extra10 headphones, but the cable developed a short and I couldn't solder a splice in, so I used some olive wood to mount a jack.

That's really pretty.

Is the wood epoxyed to the plastic or fastened differently?

Friction fit. The wood has a sh*load of epoxy on it 'cause I was having trouble with splitting with the super thin walls, and didn't want to take the time to sand the whole thing and put a coat of poly on it.

The original cap was screwed on, and I thought I was gonna have to go there, but before I discovered the sticker covering the screws I dinged up the plastic trying to pry the top off, which made the friction fit work perfectly.
