Mrs. Vera's Daybook

Just got back from the slow ferry home from the city, a trip we made to see "The Unabridged Mrs. Vera's Daybook", a documentary about Michael Johstone and David Faulk, and the community that they've created. Complete with appearance by, and post-movie Q&A shout-out to, our friend Ruby.

I had seen Ruby's pictures, but didn't have a sense of the entire cultural context in which the amazing costumes occurred, and the movie was touching and inspiring (there are gonna be some additions to our neighborhood shortly) and I suspect it'd be good even viewed on your own tiny screen, and not in a room full of people attached to the community who applauded and cheered.
