Flutterby™! : I couldn't get to Petaluma Coffee

I couldn't get to Petaluma Coffee Roasters, so I got a bag of cheap beans at Grocery Outlet, and on a whim dropped a little vanilla extract in this morning, and it tastes like being on an all-night road trip, refueling in the middle of nowhere, and I can't tell if this is a good or bad thing.
