To verify whether other antihistamine drugs could also inhibit SARS-CoV-2 infection, we evaluated six first-generation antihistamine drugs, namely, brompheniramine, clemastine, cyproheptadine, diphenhydramine, promethazine, and triprolidine, as well as five second-generation antihistamine drugs, namely, acrivastine, astemizole, azelastine, desloratadine, and loratadine.
