private jet missile defense

Via the Daily Illuminator, apparently anti-missile systems are a factory option on Gulfstream jets. An extra $3M gets you a tail mounted device to confuse and deter heat seeking missiles. No word on whether it's a lifetime warranty...

Speaking of lifetime warranties, I just bought a down-filled NorthFace jacket for my daughter who is six years old and growing rapidly. NorthFace claims to have a lifetime warranty on the jacket. Do you think it covers outgrowing the jacket?

Nope but they do support the warranty pretty well. I did the dbase back-end for their e-commerce site and remember one of the North Face "inside" jokes being that their ropes had a "life time" warranty
