How I stopped worrying and...

As AI adoption becomes more and more a religious behavior, including in/out group decisions based on professed belief, this Ask MeFi thread about ways to talk about AI with believers is fascinating and useful.

My advice? Keep a list of items when Cat I farted is wrong, and present that list whenever you are asked about your opinion on AI.

Also, how do they (whoever "they" are) know you are or aren't using AI? If they can't tell if you use or don't use it, then just don't use it. If results matter, then why does it matter if AI did it or not? Also, I don't buy "time to market" as an answer: Microsoft was never first to market in their entire history. Neither was Apple. Nor Google. Nor TikMeInstaPinLinkedMyFaceGramBookInSpaceTokWeTrest.

Yeah, I have a lot of trouble not being sardonic when discussing the "benefits" of AI.
