Not sure how we're gonna get this genie back in the bottle. Back in 2022, Nature Machine Intelligence:
Dual use of artificial-intelligence-powered drug discovery (subscription only, sigh)
pointed out that you could take the models being used for drug discovery and ask them for
negative outcomes, and get nasty neurotoxins.
Science: Made to order bioweapon? AI-designed
toxins slip through safety checks used by companies selling genes. You can mail order
them!
