It's 1996 The free crossplatform

It's 1996. The free cross-platform may-be-ugly-but-it-works widget set is Tk.

It's 2026. The best Rust widget set appears to be... Uh... Tk.

Yah. There has to be a better way, but I haven't found it. I'm reimplementing my pet project from Rust/Tk to Rust/egui, but I'm not sold yet.

So far I've found the egui table (or is it a eframe table?!) has vertical layout bugs when displaying huge tables, but the fltk table is worse. The fltk table build an array to represent row heights, so giant resizing tables spend all of their time rebuilding that table.

I'm getting pretty good at implementing tables from other components at this point.

I'm looking for something with good table handling. egui kinda works, although the idea of redrawing the entire screen just to update a slider position offends me, but, worse, egui appears to be keeping some sort of internal state and diffing back with what you sent it, and in the case of my attempt to build a tabbed interface, gets that and the screen size refresh wrong no matter what I try to do to throw away whatever cached info it's using.

rust_widgets ... does not have good looking tables.
