Message from Eventbrite: "Good news! More great events await. Discover more new to do." and as I tell people "no" because I just want a day to organize my shop, already, I think about how I am not the target demo here....

Definitely Not a Bot
I went to a reception at their offices in Pittsburgh years ago while they were a startup. Not sure how I was invited and I didn't really fit into their tech scene. One room was packed with video gamers. Someone asked me what frameworks I liked. I said I hard coded my website in html using emacs. He didn't know what to say to that. When they told me their startup business plan I was polite but did not think much of it. Event software? Who would care about that? As with most things related to popularity I was wrong. They had a nice pool table which I used until the speeches began and I left.
We will not edit your comments. However, we may delete your
comments, or cause them to be hidden behind another link, if we feel
they detract from the conversation. Commercial plugs are fine,
if they are relevant to the conversation, and if you don't
try to pretend to be a consumer. Annoying endorsements will be deleted
if you're lucky, if you're not a whole bunch of people smarter and
more articulate than you will ridicule you, and we will leave
such ridicule in place.
