What Dan Reads

2001-12-05 14:28:04+00 by Dan Lyke 5 comments

Okay, over there on the right, below the useful bits on that nav box, are the contents of a few folders from my Opera bookmarks. I try to be more wide-ranging than this, the "Daily" are the things I try to read every day, the "Sporadic" I try to check once a week, some of those haven't been updated in longer, but I hold out hope.

Don't feel slighted if you're not on there, I may not know about you yet, or I may know and for some reason you've fallen off my list of sites I check often, or there may be a silly bug in my script that's keeping it from showing up, or I may just check it every month or so by typing in the URL (Jessamyn, for instance), or I may have given it a name that doesn't get your attention. Anyway, there it is, hopefully it'll provide more use than acrimony.

Yeah, WeirdAssShit is one of those that I'll check occasionally by URL when I'm reminded by seeing email from you, but generally the "stuff I find interesting" quotient is low enough that it never migrates on to the bookmarks list.

We're number one! We're number one!

Handy being up near the beginning of the alphabet, sometimes.

About being at the top of the list.

My youngest son, age twelve, brought home a wonderful report card except for two classes where the grades were horrible. The reason was not turning in homework. These two classes happened to also be the last two real classes of the day. When we asked him about it he told us he didn't have time to get all the homework done. When probed further we found out that he was doing his homework in the order that it came in his assignment book which was ordered in the same manner as his classes. Sure enough we started examining all of his grades and his best grade was in his first class followed by his second class...

Yeah, it is handy being at the top of a list.

Nothing like a mention here to get one off one's duff and refreshing one's content... (Thanks for the unintended kick in the butt, Dan...)
