Yes, it is a slack day before Christmas week, I've handed in all my (considerable) recent expense reports, and my boss and I pretty much agree that our mods to the rig this week have turned it into something that's pretty danged close to a deployable product. So productivity today is essentially hanging out 'til the guy who will be building our circuit boards comes in so I can talk a bit with him, and then bailing for home. A hodgepodge:
- I've found what looks like a great recipe for fruitcake ("Christmas Cake" if you're a brit) over on K5.
- Those wonderfully inclusive folks over at the American Family Association are wondering about your opinions on same sex marriage and are promising to present the results to Congress. You know what to do.
- Remember that suggestion for a new World Trade Center design that circulated shortly after the attacks, the one that looked like a fist with an extended finger? Compare to one view of the design for rebuilding the trade center unveiled today.
