safe rooms for extra storage

Cleveland, Tennessee, is building a new elementary school with safe rooms in each classroom. The safe rooms will be used for storage when not in emergency use. Does anyone else see an inherent flaw in this plan?

Earthquake! Here, help me move these reams of paper, this AV cart, hey, where'd all these old computers come from? and... aw, damn it.
Not to mention that as the cost-benefit of protecting against school shooters and tornadoes is probably not a rational decision...

Storage? I'm sure they'll be used as extra classrooms in a year or two.
We will not edit your comments. However, we may delete your
comments, or cause them to be hidden behind another link, if we feel
they detract from the conversation. Commercial plugs are fine,
if they are relevant to the conversation, and if you don't
try to pretend to be a consumer. Annoying endorsements will be deleted
if you're lucky, if you're not a whole bunch of people smarter and
more articulate than you will ridicule you, and we will leave
such ridicule in place.
