This bill, should it pass and I've been informed by both my state senator and
state representative that it doesn't stand a chance of even getting out of
committee, this law would essentially eliminate club rides in Georgia. Plus it
makes the process of closing a road to cyclist trivial for a county. There is
nothing in the law to benefit cyclists, only to restrict them.

RT @murphstahoe:
The government wants you not just unarmed, but flabby when it knocks on your door - http://www.ajc.com/weblogs/pol...e-reaction/#sthash.mADqW3or.dpuf
Further pull-quote from that link:
Clearly, government registration of bicycles is merely the first step toward confiscation. The government wants you not just unarmed, but flabby when it knocks on your door. Never mind that every bicycle grabbed by government will be sold at an Alabama flea market, and proceeds will pay for Obamacare.
(And, yes, I need to figure out why UTF-8 works in the main entries but not in the comments. Argh.)
We will not edit your comments. However, we may delete your
comments, or cause them to be hidden behind another link, if we feel
they detract from the conversation. Commercial plugs are fine,
if they are relevant to the conversation, and if you don't
try to pretend to be a consumer. Annoying endorsements will be deleted
if you're lucky, if you're not a whole bunch of people smarter and
more articulate than you will ridicule you, and we will leave
such ridicule in place.
