Whoah, is this the tipping point? Netflix passes HBO in subscribers.

Netflix has 31 million subscribers, HBO 29 million.

No, but it may be the harbinger of the tipping point. The tipping point will come when HBO looks at Netflix's subscriber numbers and starts signing up streaming-only subscribers who have no cable subscription.

How many people subscribe to HBO but only stream via HBO Go? How many people use other people's HBO Go accounts to stream content?

I actually have DirecTV but use it almost exclusively to timeshift shows. And I've been doing less of that since my wife has gotten sick of HGTV.
