Interesting Salon
article on Giuliani's approach to the homeless
problem in New York. So
much of the homeless advocacy is about the contradiction of "these are
people just like you and me who got a bad break" coupled with the "Reagan
was so awful for tossing these people out of the institutions onto the
street", it's good to see that the author of this article, at least, is
questioning the basis of many of the arguments on the discussion. Not that
I'm any fan of Giuliani on civil liberties or other such issues.
