Doc Searles - How the cookie poisoned the Web. The first interactive version of the Flutterby CMS maintained passed state where it needed to via parameters in the URL, because I thought that we might have a a web where cookies were optional. Now we have to click "yeah, whatever, violate my privacy" with every site in order to use the web.
