Uh, wouldn't that actually reinforce the beliefs of the PeTA crowd by acting as a challenge to typical assumptions about what it's OK to eat? I haven't eaten meat in years, and that's the way it strikes me.
Or perhaps you're referring to that crowd's reputation for humorlessness.

You know you've been on the net too long when that acronym makes you think of People Eating Tasty Animals first. But really, $27.99 for a domestic feline? They damned well better be organic...
Shades of the Joey Skaggs Kea So Joo caper. (for completeness, Skaggs was mentioned in Flutterby entry #77).

Reminds me of ManBeef.com. Seems someone shut them down, but you can view a Google Cache of the site.
People have such thin skin...
It actually makes it easier to cook that way...

I figure good .22 ammo costs about a dime a shot, and I can get a good young (fast and wary) cat every other shot. So, young tender feral cats only cost a quarter each. Healthy ones though.. housebred, pampered and well fed are a little harder to catch outside, take a lot more effort, so I'd say they are worth no more than $5.00 each. Plus shipping of course.

Wanna see something worse? (And for real? That site was a joke... right?) Go to http://babelfish.altavista.com and type in http://www.puppyni.com in the translate site section. It's a Korean site that sells bulk puppies.
