I need to build a good database structure for an "on this day" sort of feature. Salon points out that Lady Chatterly's Lover was banned December 20th, 1929.

If it would be useful to you, I can whip up a db structure and a simple perl-generated page to go with it.

I just need to finish my redesign so that I feel cool with taking the time to add a web interface.

Are you thinking that we'd all contribute the data? What I'm really asking for here is the specs and scope of the [sub-]project. If you'd like to pass those along, I'll see if I can come up with something workable - both in DB schema and in code. I'll develop and test it on my own servers and just pass the end-product on to you to use as you see fit.
We will not edit your comments. However, we may delete your comments, or cause them to be hidden behind another link, if we feel they detract from the conversation. Commercial plugs are fine, if they are relevant to the conversation, and if you don't try to pretend to be a consumer. Annoying endorsements will be deleted if you're lucky, if you're not a whole bunch of people smarter and more articulate than you will ridicule you, and we will leave such ridicule in place.
