Flutterby™! : I got them embedded blues

Well, after struggling with some serial stuff yesterday I broke down and got me a sillyscope. Probably a little more than I should have paid for it, but it's only a 20MHz one, and I have it this morning as I tackle the issues of serial communications and the ATmega8515. Summary of yesterday's activities:

• Half-stepping stepper motors generates way more torque.
• So does dropping 40mA into the bases of the power transistors rather than 8-10mA.
• Hook up the probes after power is applied, it's less likely that they'll get bumped in a way that lets the smoke out.

But I only did that last bit once.
