Columbine has a great essay and overview of booze that's worth a gander.

I won't say there are things in there that are wrong, but there are a number of places where useful information is either skipped or glossed over. It frustrated me because I wanted to be able to take a red-pencil to it.

Take a red pencil to it! I'm not sure how much I can do about its being a surface treatment - lot of ground to cover and it's already about twice as long as I intended it to be - but I am very much interested in any comments, corrections, nitpicks, what-have-you. I don't recall if my username links to an email ID of any kind here, but it is columbine at inu dot org.

I'm not much of a boozer, so I knew next to nothing about the subject, and I learned a whole lot (like I never really knew the difference between bourboun and scotch, and what "rye" was, fer instance).
