Dykes on Bikes encountering resistance while trying to trademark name:

Twice, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has rejected the Dykes' application, on the grounds that "dyke" is vulgar, offensive and "scandalous."

Ya know, in the recent Woodacre 4^th of July parade there was a "Tykes on Trikes" contingent. It always takes me a while to recalibrate and realize that there are pockets of people who are completely out of touch with reality and the culture. Pockets like Virginia and Maryland.
