MarkV had a link to a Google video of destroying a car with thermite. From the voice-over it sounds like those wacky folks over at Top Gear. And... wow, I think I'm going to have to brew me up some of that stuff...

I think that the thermite video you have mentioned is actually from a UK show called "Brainiac". It may be available in the US if you have access to a channel called "G4". (I've never actually seen it broadcast)
It does sound like one of the fellows from TopGear but I can't say I recall seeing him in any Brainiac clips.
