I don't know why, but I can just visualize someone sitting on the stand, biting their lip while looking back and forth between the judge and prosecutor while not wanting to say something.

Excellent. The urge to say something off color about 'VeggieSexual' ala "Bloom County" cartoons (Bill the Cat was a recovering veggiesexual) would have blown the case, but would have been funny.
