I think it's interesting that Jerry only used the machine for 3 throws when the humans weren't around.
But the machine is very cool!

Jerry might not need any help, but his people will need new carpet. Pretty soon. And possibly to re-do a wall in the room at the end of the hall. And they might want to train the kid to alternate arms. Just a thought. I wonder... if the kid THREW the ball - would Jerry run after it??
Did you notice Jerry always waits, turns and takes off running at the exact same moment? It's when the machine has gone beyond the point of no return and trajectory of the ball is imminent. I call this the "threshold of trajectory."
