Snicker: British judge rules that Pringles aren't potato chips:
Warren agreed. Pringles aren't "made from the potato" for the purposes of the
tax exemption, he said. He didn't say what Pringles are, other than that
they're tax-exempt.
Via SE. If they're not potato, what are they? Some say Pringles are a communist plot:
All the uniform chips are put into a RED can with a Stalin look-alike on the
package and you are going to question this? How can one not see the blatant
intention to subvert the American people nearly four decades after it was
initiated?

The first ingredient listed on the package is "dried potato", however since they're actually sort of mushed into a potato dough and then baked instead of just sliced and deep-fried, I can only assume they're not considered a "potato chip" since they're actually "baked potato dough". (WSJ)
