For those of you who missed it: The Cartoon Network presents the ultimate Rick Roll during the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. A few notes:
- Rick Rolling has now been done. Not only on a national scale, but by big TV. It was funny the first time, it was funny one of the times XKCD did it (this time), but you can't top this so please don't try.
- If, two decades ago, you'd told me that I'd squeeeee like a 12 year old girl at the sight of Rick Astley doing a bad lip-sync, there would have been words.
- You may never forget how to ride a bike, but, apparently, you do forget how to lip-sync.
- I love it when a performer knows when to play off on previous work.

If you're the sort of anal retentive person who'd try to hum or play the music he uses as an illustration...

Sounds like a challenge to me. I note that no one has RickRolled the planet from space yet.

PS: Dan -- XKCD link is busted, and with my pedantic hat on, I note that you probably meant the "sight" of Rick. Please remove this comment after fixing the link. :-)

[edit history]
We had the parade on in the background when that float pulled up to the cameras and my younger kid screamed out, "OMG Foster's Home got rickrolled... for REAL!" We, too, were howling with laughter. It was absolutely priceless.
