Well, Safari on my desktop did the same thing when it saw that the pasted URL was wrapping
until I wrapped it up in HTML (which changed the line-wrap).

It looked like the iPad put a newline in the middle of the pasted URL. I think the solution is to just go for the laptop earlier.

Actually, I think it's a Safari thing. I had to go into HTML mode to get the URL in. That might
help you troubleshoot it to see if you can make a workaround.
