Hmmm

Hmmm... Drive in my home server died, and modern Linuxes no longer support Via EPIA devices. Rethinking my network config.

Most of the new routers appear to be able to share USB hard drives. I may go that way, I don't have a router for the shop that'll handle the new "push both buttons simultaneously" security risk WiFi authentication scheme, so if a new WiFi router is in order, hanging USB drives off it seems totally reasonable.

If Ed can get Linux to boot on a Tandy with an 80286, surely you can get the Via EPIA to do something! Personally, I'd just build a new server or buy a new laptop and use my current laptop as a sever.

FYI: My Linksys E3000 router running TomatoUSB shares printers and USB hard drives in addition to acting as a router, Wifi hotspot, and gigabit hub. Pretty good for a $50 low-power device!
