yeah, I was struck by the fact that they were all bundled up like it was... well... not where I live, and that neck collar looked like it was less comfortable in most of the weather I ride in than a helmet.
I do think it's interesting that they're claiming to have solved the "when to deploy" issue, because that's a lot harder to do without crumple-zones, and there are various political and legal issues with heuristics vs training...

I'm not sure this product would be any better than a conventional bike helmet but it is an interesting concept. I'm just wondering where I would hang my mirror.
