Well worth a read: Larry mentioned FactCheck.org: Gun rhetoric vs gun facts. With gun murders at the lowest level since 1981 and gun ownership at very high levels, how do you tease apart the various statistics (and made-up hogwash) in the current renewed debate over gun control after the Sandy Hook Elementary/Newtown shooting spree?

After spending time in some countries without much public onwership of guns, I see some trends in these places:

Yeah, I'm at work.. with my .45 within reach, and it will be on me when I walk to my car after work and nearby while I am at home. We have the same problems as everyone else, our response is different. More efficent in some ways, less in others.
