Two Apple links of the morning:
- Gigaom: Browsing the web on an iPad stinksand Apple likes it that way. Yep, if they can get you to build an app rather than use their crappy browser (and Safari sucks), they get to capture some of the open web back to their proprietary stuff. Remember when Apple used to gain economic value by enabling users to do things, rather than keeping them from doing things? Anyway, one in a series on why Android tablets are better, and I say that as an iPad owner.
- Kara Swisher: What Could Apple Buy With Its $137 Billion? About 18 Homes Each for Every Yahoo to Not Work At, and More!. As the tweet I got this from pointed out, "Apple has the cash to buy Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pandora, Pinterest, Yahoo & more all at once.". What this means is that Apple boardmembers think you've paid too much for your Facebook, Yahoo and, yes, Apple stock.

Comment policy
We will not edit your comments. However, we may delete your
comments, or cause them to be hidden behind another link, if we feel
they detract from the conversation. Commercial plugs are fine,
if they are relevant to the conversation, and if you don't
try to pretend to be a consumer. Annoying endorsements will be deleted
if you're lucky, if you're not a whole bunch of people smarter and
more articulate than you will ridicule you, and we will leave
such ridicule in place.
