Yup. Turned out Apple didn't ban it; it's just the Comixology guy assumed, based on his reading of Apple's standards, that they would have.

One wonders, cynically, whether Apple would have said "sure, go ahead, we wouldn't ban that" when asked for clarification if all of the brouhaha of the past two days hadn't happened first ....
